Get In-Shape for the Summer with “Skinny Bitch!”

It’s that time of year again…. Beach season. Everyone wants to get that perfect bikini body. But where do you start? There are so many diets and fads out there. Which one do I pick?

The key is just to BE HEALTHY. Exercise and eat well! But what actually is eating well? Recently, I just read the book, “Skinny Bitch” by Rory Freedman and Kim Barnouin, both former models AND nutritionists.

No soda!

  • It turns into formaldehyde when in enters your body because of the methyl alcohol in aspartame.
  • Aspartame also causes arthritis, birth defects, fibromyalgia, Alzheimer’s, lupus, multiple sclerosis and diabetes.
  • The combination of aspartame and carbs, it lowers your production of serotonin.

Drink water!

  • Water helps your digestive system and helps you poop!
  • Add lemon or a strawberry to your water if you don’t like the taste of it.

Drink herbal tea!

Eat natural grains!

  • Including potatoes, barley, corn, brown rice, beans, hummus, lentils, quinoa, millet and pasta made from whole wheat, brown rice or vegetables

Eat fruit on an empty stomach!

  • When you eat fruit on an empty stomach, you absorb the enzymes, carbs, vitamins, minerals, fatty acids, amino acids, tannins (which fight cancer), and flavonoids much better. (Then wait 30 minutes before eating anything else)
  • It helps detox and cleanse your body!

Substitute sugar with agave nectar or syrup or stevia!

  • Also try cane juice, Sucanat, brown rice syrup, barley malt syrup, Rapadura sugar, Turbinado sugar, raw sugar, beet sugar, date sugar, maple syrup, molasses, and blackstrap molasses. (If you buy syrups or molasses, make sure they are 100% pure!)
  • Stop eating aspartame! It is also found in Equal and NutraSweet and diet drinks
  • Don’t eat Sweet & Low! (It has a coal-tar compound!)
  • Splenda has arsenic and methanol!
  • Artificial sweeteners are highly acidic and throw off our body’s pH! This makes us more prone to illness!

Cut back on dairy!

Don’t eat meat… or at least cut back.

  • I cannot begin to even describe the stuff in the book… It is so horrifying and disgusting… Just take my advice.

Don’t buy organic products certified by the USDA!

  • They lie.
Still got those sugar cravings? “Skinny Bitch” recommends brushing your teeth when you feel like sweets! And it stops you from eating!
