Get the Look: Emma Watson’s “HP” Premiere

For all ‘Arry Pottah fans worldwide, the end has come with the release of the final movie — “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows, Part 2.” But for Emma Watson, fashion style transcends and rises above the ending credits. For the premiere, Emma completely rocked the red carpet with her perfect poise, intense make-up and stunning gold Bottega Veneta gown.

Daytime Look

Emma’s original look is very strong and sophisticated, but clearly can be a little too fancy for everyday. Here are some ideas to incorporate the basics of her look into a chic style.

A bustier or corset style top works best for this outfit, since it mimics the neckline and top of Emma’s dress. Finding a piece with thin straps or none at all is most effective. Pair it with a brightly colored rust or burnt orange skirt. A skirt with volume complements the fitted top very well like in Emma’s Bottega Veneta dress. Keep the rest of the outfit a little muted with a pair of drop dangle earrings and a pair of nude wedges.

Nighttime Look
This look was much harder to put together because it needed to obviously be more dressy than the daytime look, but not as extreme as Emma’s dress. Another problem is that Emma’s dress has so much volume. And volume on the bottom does not look good for everyone. (A lot of women are curvier than she is. Myself including. I would look like I was being swallowed by fabric!)
Find a dress that has the same bustier/corset fit with a smooth neckline. To add the volume, layer a scarf around your neck. Dress it up with fancy earrings and elegant heels.
